The Socialist Party USA charters state and local chapters to represent party members in particular jurisdictions. Local chapters must consist of at least five members and a Local Executive Committee (LEC).

The Baltimore chapter was recognized in October of 2023.

While the chapter is recognized by SPUSA, it is not a Maryland campaign finance entity and is not authorized by any candidate or committee.
